Fundraising

Fundraising and a continuous generating and spending of available funds are an important part of our strategy. The FSHD Foundation has set itself the objective to generate funds that, in addition to existing money flows, will make it possible to execute all elements of our Roadmap to Solutions. Our work has thus far led to increased funding for FSHD research in the Netherlands and abroad, and more active engagement from scientific researchers in FSHD care and research.

As a foundation, we are committed to financially support small (pilot) projects seen as important for the overall strategy that are not easily funded through other sources. To do this, we need to generate around € 250.000, - per annum through our own fundraising activities. For the coming 5 years this means we will need donations amounting to € 1 mln.

In addition, we will continue to do our best to find sponsors for the bigger and more comprehensive projects.
